What I do
My analysis style is unique. I think like an economist but produce my work with the trader in mind to ensure the analysis is actionable rather than just good information for the reader but useless for a trader.
For short-term analysis and trade ideas, I discuss price action on charts of various time frames and focus my energy on where price is most likely to head to next – often where trapped traders’ orders would be resting.
However, for longer-term outlook, I focus more on macro factors and try not to get too carried away by short-term noise.
Leveraging years of professional experience in the markets to deliver high quality setups, most of the time in the direction of underlying trend.
These trades are based on technical patterns that show up on various time frames, including daily and hourly charts. They include false breakouts, rounded-retests of broken support or resistance and breakouts from consolidation patterns.
Unlike my proprietary trading system, these trades are all about using discretion.
I have already provided some insights into my discretionary trading style in the free education section
I have helped many developing and struggling traders, but also talked many out of becoming one as trading is not for every one. My aim is to shorten your learning curve. I can:
- Teach technical analysis key concepts and how to look for discretionary trade ideas in a one-to-one meeting
- Teach my proprietary trading system via Skype or in person. This is a higher time-frame trend-following strategy and almost 100% objective. I say ‘almost’ because the decision whether to take the trade is still up to me even if the setup ticks all the boxes. It is ideal for those who are not able to actively manage their trades because of their day jobs or otherwise.
How can I serve your business?
For retail FX, CFD and Spread Betting brokers or research firms, I can offer my full services, including market analysis, trade ideas and webinars for your prospects and clients, and publicise your brand in the financial media through my market commentary and extensive contact list of journalists. I can work remotely and may consider full-time employment.
What I don’t do
- Offer any get-rich-quick schemes
- Offer advice

My professional career in the city started in early 2010 after graduating as an economist at the worst possible time: during the height of the global financial crisis. I was lucky to land a job at GFT Global Markets where I worked as a Junior Analyst and quickly learned the ropes from expert traders and seasoned analysts. Before long I specialised in technical analysis, with which I have since become obsessed.
Now I am an experienced market analyst after working for leading global FX, CFD and Spread Betting brokerages at FOREX.com and City Index. Although my colleagues and friends regard me as an expert in technical analysis, I also provide succinct fundamental analysis and my comments are regularly quoted by the leading financial publications. As well as written articles, I have conducted hundreds of live market analysis and educational webinars on various subjects, including trading psychology, Brexit and elections.
I also produce trading guides & insights for Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, trade my own account and help shorten the learning curves of developing traders.
